Months after welcoming the arrival of their first child together, the name Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas gave to their daughter has been revealed.
The couple named their baby girl Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, TMZ reported.

Chopra first announced the new addition to their family in a surprise Instagram announcement posted on January 21. “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” the Quantico actress said in the statement then. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”
Though the two have yet to share any photos of baby Malti, Chopra offered a glimpse of life as a new mom in a February photo dump posted to Instagram, in which she added a snapshot of her daughter’s adorable nursery, including a variety of stuffed animals and a golden statue.

In March, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the new parents were “so happy” to have their daughter. “Priyanka and Nick love being new parents and have been spending a lot of downtime at home,” the insider told the outlet. “The two have wanted children for a while and so happy it finally happened. Priyanka and Nick are private but have let close friends and family meet their baby.”
Jonas opened up about the possibility of expanding his family with Chopra in an interview with E! last year.
“[Priyanka] is the most important piece of the puzzle, and it’s obviously something we hope happens, and God willing, it comes together,” he said. “You know, whatever is right. We’re blessed to have each other and have a full heart for the future, I say, and things are out of your control. And the foundation of a couple is strong, and you’re excited about the possibility of that.”
