Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton Enjoy Romantic Day at Venice Film Festival

Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton have taken their love to Venice. The couple took their P.D.A. to the Venice Film Festival, attending the MiuMiu photocall together, holding hands as they entered the event.

Malek recently went shopping at Goop during his cover story for GQ, and appears to have taken after some of Boynton’s British-isms. While picking up a (very fancy) stick of deodorant for her (Malek claimed she wanted some), he said, “She’ll be so ‘chuffed,’” adding air quotes around the word. When Malek asked the reporter if shopping for his girlfriend was boring her, the reporter assured him it was not.

“Good,” he said. “This will be funny. She’ll think I'm being goofy.”

Malek and Boynton met on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody, which Malek managed to snag a Best Actor award for at the Oscars this year. They were slow to come out out as a couple, and it was especially difficult to tell considering the pair were essentially forced to attend red carpets together. Boynton recently discussed her need for privacy in their relationship during an interview with The Cut.

“I have a lot of respect, and a lot of questions, for those people who don’t seem to have any protective layer and who are absolutely themselves in every scenario. When you are so exposed, the way that you are in the publicity side of our work, I don’t know how you protect yourself if you don’t keep something for yourself,” she said. “I had an interview recently where I was asked such crude and candid questions about my relationship. It kind of forced me to pull way back.”

While the couple may not be willing to candidly discuss their relationship, they appear to have no problem showing it.
