Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are going to be parents!
News of the pop star’s first pregnancy was reported today by People.
Rihanna debuted her baby bump over the weekend while the couple was photographed together in Harlem. The singer wore a hot-pink vintage Chanel puffer coat unbuttoned above her stomach and completed the look with body jewelry and faded denim jeans. Meanwhile, Rocky layered up in a denim Carhartt jacket over a knit hoodie and black leather pants.

Rihanna and Rocky were longtime friends before first reports of their relationship taking a romantic turn emerged in December 2020. The rapper was soon after spotted spending Christmas with Rihanna’s family in Barbados that year.
In a May 2021 cover story for GQ, Rocky referred to the Fenty mogul as “the love of my life.” He also expressed that he loves being coupled up over being single. “[It’s] so much better,” he said. “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”

Rihanna opened up about her desire to become a mother in a 2019 red-carpet interview with Essence during the fifth annual Diamond Ball, saying, “I’m a Black woman. I came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman and I’m going to give birth to a Black woman. It’s a no-brainer. That’s who I am. It’s the core of who I am in spirit and DNA.”
She also gave credit to her own mother as “an incredible example of how to fight through obstacles in life. I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be. We are impeccable, we’re special, and the world is going to have to deal with that.”
