Did you know that that Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t originally 100% on board with playing Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw? The actress was originally unsure about filming the pilot for Sex and the City because she didn’t want to be tied down to a TV series. But she liked the script, filmed the pilot, and promptly forgot it existed until the show got picked up by HBO.
And now, Parker admits that she hardly remembers her first moments as the fashion forward protagonist.
“I shot [the pilot episode] and honest to God truth, I completely forgot about it,” she explains in a new video for AOL’s “Makers” series. “I know no one will believe it. I forgot about it. I’m walking down the street one day and I run into this woman and she’s a big fancy executive at a big movie studio. And she says to me, ‘Oh My God, I just saw your pilot, Sex and the City.’ And I said to her, ‘What? What are you talking about?'”
