Selena Gomez Just Dropped Two Music Videos In Less Than A Week

Growing up, I was a huge Disney fan and Selena Gomez was one of the childhood stars I’ve followed ever since the ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place’. It's fair to say that up till now, she’s been unstoppable. She’s acted in 28 movies, released 5 albums, is one of the most followed celebrities on Instagram (with 158 million followers!) and has held titles as an UNICEF Global Ambassador, Billboard’s 2017 “Woman Of The Year”.

More recently, Selena's even taken on the role of Executive Producer for Netflix Series ‘13 Reasons Why’ and docu-series ‘Living Un-documented’.Gomez recently released two new singles, 'Lose You To Love Me' and 'Look At Her Now', that are just as infectious as it is reminiscent of how the singer grapples with self-love. In true Selena fashion, she continues to keep it real and revealed that she had acclaimed director, Sophie Muller (“Good for You”) on board to shoot both music videos on the new iPhone 11 Pro.

After the release of her first single of the year, 'Lose You To Love Me', Selena took to Instagram to share a video where she thanked fans for their support:

"Thank you all for standing by my side through the highs and lows. I couldn’t do it without you all and I can’t wait to start my next adventure with you."

In the latest statement, the singer also shared the meaning behind her first single she's released and what listeners can expect from the upcoming album.

"This song ('Lose You To Love Me')  was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one’s life. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself."

Just a day later, Selena shared an upbeat dance track 'Look At Her Now' — which is a true testament to the dynamic powerhouse that she is today.

It's been four years since Selena has released a full album; she's been engaged in several acting/ producing gigs, even developing her own beauty line. The star was diagnosed with Lupus back in 2015 and took some time off to rediscover herself after undergoing a kidney transplant surgery in 2017—all of which has evidently influenced her new music.
