Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas's Private French Wedding: All Of The Behind-The-Scenes Details

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are officially married after having a fairytale second wedding in the south of France over the weekend. Only a few paparazzi photos from the star-studded nuptials have been made public, which captured glimpses of the bride's gorgeous dress and adorable dog, but for the most part, the ceremony was mostly under wraps. However, thanks to a few reports and some guests' posts on social media, we have a better idea of what happened when Joe and Sophie said "I do."

Here's what you might've missed from the big day:

The bride and groom cried during their vows.

"Joe and Sophie both teared up while reading their vows," an insider told E! News. "Everyone stood and cheered and they had huge smiles as they left as a couple. It was an emotional ceremony." Paparazzi photos from outside the celebrations appeared to show Kevin Jonas, Danielle Jonas, and Priyanka Chopra shedding tears throughout the day.

They had drinks while getting ready.

E!'s source added that Turner prepared for the ceremony with her bridesmaids, including Game of Thrones co-star and best friend Maisie Williams, who was one of Sophie's two maids of honor. They drank champagne and had brunch delivered. Meanwhile, Jonas got ready with his groomsmen and even had "a few shots" to "ease the nerves" ahead of the ceremony.

There was a wedding, reception, and after-party.

The actual wedding ceremony took place at Château du Martinet in Carpentras, according to E!. The guests had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at the venue while the bride and groom's families took photos. Then, a reception followed at Le Château de Tourreau, where the couple was seen arriving days before the nuptials.

After the reception, an after-party "immediately followed," according to the outlet, and attendees changed into more comfortable clothes and ate finger foods. Hannah Bronfman teased on Instagram that she might've DJed during the late-night celebration.

Nick, Kevin, and Frankie Jonas gave toasts.

E! also reports that at the reception, Joe's brothers took turns giving toasts to the happy couple. An insider revealed that Nick went for humor while Kevin's speech was "more sentimental and emotional."

The brothers haven't shared footage from the celebrations, but Nick did say on Instagram, "What an incredible weekend. ❤️"

Diplo says his phone was taken away for the wedding.

After livestreaming Turner and Jonas's Las Vegas ceremony, Diplo avoided sharing any footage the second time around. He did, however, post an outfit shot from the venue and wrote in the caption:

"This is the only photo I got from Joe and Sophie Turner Jonas wedding because they took my phone from me and put in a holding cell during the ceremony . Heard it was lovely tho."

E! reports that he did DJ at one point during the reception.

Game of Thrones star Conleth Hill was present.

Maisie Williams wasn't the only GoT cast member in attendance; photos posted over the weekend show Lord Varys actor Conleth Hill was also at the ceremony. One shot with the actor also includes GoT hairdressers Kevin Alexander and Candice Banks. Hill also appeared in photos shared by actor Martin Barlan.

It's unclear if other stars like Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Isaac Hempstead-Wright were also in tow.

There was plenty of booze.

There were "several open bars" at the reception and waiters served cocktails, champagne, and other drinks, E! News reported. Joe and Sophie "always had a drink in their hands and were having a lot of fun," one source told the outlet. The newlyweds "wanted their wedding to be a huge party," the insider added.

Calum Scott performed.

English singer Calum Scott revealed on Twitter that he sang his ballad "You Are the Reason" at the wedding. The musician called the celebration "magical" and thanked the couple on social media.

The decor was white and gold.

There were flowers and glass candles lining the aisle at the ceremony venue, according to E!. Similarly, the table settings at the reception included "white florals, crystal accents, candles, lights and touches of gold decor."
