The pledge is meant to inspire women everywhere to become changemakers in their communities and fight for women’s rights and gender equality.

“Together, we have made great strides. Recent years have seen us gain hard-fought rights and increase the power of women. But the work is far from over—and we need you,” a statement on the organization’s website reads.

Women for Women International is led and run by women, and its mission is to help women survivors of war rebuild their lives. Of every British pound they raise, 84 percent goes to support female survivors.

“Especially against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, we must all rally together, raise our voices and take action to invest in women in fragile and conflict-affected areas—because they are the key to a peaceful future,” the statement continues. “Each of us can make a difference. In big and small ways, we all have the #PowerToChange the world.”

To mark Women’s History Month, the nonprofit created an interactive calendar filled with information, virtual activities, helpful links, and empowering challenges, such as, “Challenge yourself for women survivors of war! Run, skydive, climb a mountain and fundraise for women survivors of war.”

Turner—who is mom to daughter Willa with husband Joe Jonas, and is reportedly expecting her second child—is not the only woman who has joined forces with Women for Women International.

Actress Azita Ghanizada, Danes for Hillary founder Mira Borggreen, and wellness advocate and author Jasmine Hemsley are among the others who have embraced the #PowerToChange cause.

“This Women’s History Month, join forces with our global community and use your #PowerToChange!” the nonprofit wrote on Instagram.
