Surprise! Halsey Is Expecting Her First Child
The singer took to Instagram to announce the big baby news to her fans.
Congratulations are in order for Halsey—the "Without Me" singer is pregnant with her first child.
The musician announced the baby news with a series of maternity portraits on Instagram captured by photographer Sam Dameshek. In one image, the singer wears a rainbow-hued crocheted top paired with baggy, light-wash, unzipped denim, while she bares her burgeoning baby bump. In another image, Halsey ditches the triangle top and poses topless in front of a cascading satin fabric backdrop.

"Surprise! 🍼🌈👼🏻," Halsey captioned the photo set.
Halsey also tagged screenwriter Alev Aydin on her belly in the post, per People, alluding to the fact that he is presumably the father of her child. Aydin commented on the post writing "Heart so full, I love you, sweetness," with Halsey commenting back, "I love you!!!!! And I love this mini human already!" He also shared the shoot on his Instagram Story.

The singer has spoken out in recent interviews about suffering from endometriosis, and how she felt grateful that motherhood was still in the cards for her following the diagnosis. The singer's song "More," according to The Guardian, has the pop star lyrically narrating her longing for a child. Halsey previously said that she was afraid to release the record after she received online abuse for opening up about having a miscarriage onstage during a performance.
"It's the most inadequate I've ever felt. Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can't do the one thing I'm biologically put on this earth to do. Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralizing," Halsey told The Guardian. "[Motherhood is] looking like something that's gonna happen for me. That's a miracle."
