The Internet Found Unlikely Doppelgängers In Dua Lipa And AOC
Maybe one day, the singer can stand in for the congresswoman on Capitol Hill

New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seems to have many a doppelgänger in the entertainment industry. Much ado has been made about the striking physical similarities between her and rapper Princess Nokia. And now, Grammy Award–winning pop singer Dua Lipa has joined the list.
The comparisons quickly went viral on the Internet when one user posted paparazzi photos of Lipa strolling around New York City this month. In the pictures, the singer was sporting a baggy navy suit and a black lace-up crop top. "AOC on her way to pass the Green New Deal!!!" the tweet read.

In another viral moment, a TikTok user posted the same photos of the "Don't Start Now" singer, saying, "I know we're not supposed to stan politicians, but look at AOC. I mean, what other congresswoman is doing it like her? Who? Tell me.”
Though both Lipa and AOC have yet to comment on the similarities between their appearances, we're not ruling out a possible nod to their newfound doppelgänger status eventually. In November, the U.S. representative spoke to "twin" Princess Nokia for the Rolling Stone, discussing not only their physical similarities but also their shared roots in growing up in the Bronx.
"I'm looking at my twin!" the rapper told AOC during the interview.
"My boyfriend was joking that when we tweet about this, we should say, 'Have you ever seen me and Princess Nokia in the same room at the same time?'" AOC said.
