The monarch said that she is "deeply touched" by the outpouring of support following the death of her husband.

How The Queen Is Celebrating Her Birthday Differently This Year

Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her birthday by thanking the public for their outpouring of support following the passing of Prince Philip.

Turning 95 today, the monarch released a statement expressing her gratitude to those who have offered their condolences over the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, her husband for more than seven decades. Just last weekend, the queen and her family honoured Philip's life with an official funeral ceremony at Windsor Castle. Given the recent loss and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Her Majesty is expected to have a pared-down birthday celebration this year.
