Singapore’s visual arts enclave Gillman Barracks will be presenting Remember This Place, For We Will Be Back Here Again Someday, a new solo contemporary art exhibition by Faris Nakamura. The exhibition will be on view at Richard Koh Fine Art from 4 to 19 October 2019. Following his sold-out show at S.E.A. Focus earlier this year, Faris Nakamura continues his inquiry of spaces in Singapore, presenting his recent works in painted wood and mild steel. Investigative, poignant and angled with a poetic scrutiny, Remember This Place, For We Will Be Back Here Again Someday questions the privilege associated with the limited space we have in Singapore and its inevitable aftermath on the country’s architecture. The series draws the viewer in by coaxing alternate perspectives on viewing and questions about the psyche of space planning.
