Thirst Trap Thursday: Kit Harington

Because there’s something incredibly sexy about a fella who can pull off a man bun

Let’s be honest, Kit Harington is a man who needs little introduction. The British actor shot to fame in 2011 as Jon Snow in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Although the show is coming to an end this year with its eighth and final season, that doesn’t mean Kit has any plans to slow down. In fact, he’s just finished performing in a play on London’s West End, and has had several roles in both movies and TV including reprising his role as Eret in the recently released How To Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World.

Born Christopher Catesby Harington, Kit as he’s known by most, was coined the sexiest man on HBO thanks to his smouldering good looks, but admits he’s uneasy about all the attention the media pays to his iconic mane and piercing brown eyes. “It’s an occupational hazard,” Harington explained in an interview. “That’s just what happens, and when it does, it can get frustrating. I feel it’s bad practice to always focus on one’s external appearance.”

But it’s those badass curls and ruggedly handsome features that Kit has to thank for landing him the role of brand ambassador for Jimmy Choo, starring in the brand’s FW14 men’s line as well as their SS15 campaign. In 2017 Kit was also announced as the face of Dolce & Gabbana‘s The One fragrance for men.

Aside from his ruggedly handsome looks, Harington also has a heart of gold which adds to his appeal. The actor has starred in numerous charity projects, he’s currently an ambassador for The Royal Mencap Society; a leading organisation in the UK that helps people with learning disabilities, and he recently offered up the chance for anyone to donate £5,000 (about $8,974 SGD) to a local UK charity, Longlands, to raise funds for a building project and in return they got a private dinner with the star – now that’s an initiative we would be happy to get behind!
