The Spice Girls performed at 13 sell-out shows across the nation in a UK comeback tour last month but Victoria Beckham, formerly known as Posh Spice, disappointed fans by leaving the band one member short.

Though fans of the '90s band can keep their fingers crossed that the fashion designer will return to the stage in the near future, as former bandmate, Mel B, recently hinted that Beckham is tempted by a performance at Glastonbury 2020.

According to the singer, her mum, Andrea Brown, attended Beckham's mother Jackie Adams' summer garden party where the pair of them discussed the future of the band.

During a guest appearance on the Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, the singer revealed: "Funnily enough, my mum was at her mum's summer party and Victoria was there. She did actually mention to my mum that she'd love to do Glastonbury for their 50th anniversary."

"It's not just me saying it," she emphasised. "She actually did say that to my mum!"

The 44-year-old first announced that the Spice Girls want to headline next year's festival during an appearance on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show last week.

"You know what, it just happens to be Glastonbury's 50th anniversary next year. I think that'd be a really good thing to do," she revealed. "And the girls are going to kill me for saying it but I don't care. We owe it to our fans and ourselves. We are gonna do more and I don't care what anyone says."

Beckham recently opened up about the reason why she decided against joining the reunion tour, explaining that her priorities have changed in recent years.

"It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one who says: 'You know, I'm not doing it because things feel different now than they used to'," the mother-of-four explained. "I'd rather concentrate on my family and my company. I'm 45 now and very happy to be the woman I am…"

Glastonbury 2020 will take place from June 24-28 and information on tickets will be announced in the autumn.
