Now in the historic Fullerton Waterboat House, Matera offers modern Italian cuisine with Asian elements. Olives, an Italian standard, are served Mala-style, while the eatery's Puff Pastry is made with a duck sausage and egg yolk custard. Even the main dish of French Pigeon is served with mushrooms and truffles along with a Cantonese jus. Sounds like some mouthwatering fusion to us.
