It's time to dust off your Team Edward and Team Jacob baby tees. Twilight is officially coming back.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a TV series based on Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series (and the mega popular movies) is officially in development with Lionsgate Television. In case you lived under a rock during 2005-2012, the series of books and films follow the love story between a suburban wallflower named Bella Swan, the devastatingly handsome vampire, Edward Cullen and her best friend turned love interest, Jacob Black, who (you guessed it) is a shapeshifting werewolf. The Meyer penned books are considered a defining literary moment of the early millennium, having sold over 160 million copies worldwide. Per THR, the series is still in its infancy and does not have an attached network, platform, or writer leading the series. There isn't a timeline for when fans of the series should expect the show to release quite yet either.

Sources tell THR that Stephanie Meyer is expected to be involved in the upcoming adaption, similar to how she was for the original four films that spawned from the series. The film franchise which starred a then relatively unknown trio of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, grossed more than $3.4 billion globally and is considered one of the most (financially) successful book-to-screen adaptions ever made. Unlike the Harry Potter or The Hunger Games film franchises, Twilight took more of an indie (and slightly campy) approach with its first film in 2008 directed by Catherine Hardwicke, and following its box office success produced bigger budget adaptions beloved by fans.
