The year 2020 has been a lot of things. But it will also be the year we got a new Ariana Grande album. The singer casually announced on Twitter that she will, indeed, be dropping a new LP in October.

"I can't wait to give u my album this month," she wrote.

And just like that, her little 10-word announcement sent fans spiraling. It's also worth noting that October is almost halfway done, which means Grande's new release could arrive in any of the upcoming three weekends.

Grande unveiled "positions."

To tease fans with her new music, the singer shared an Instagram video in which she typed the word positions on a keyboard.

On October 23, Grande dropped the first single, "positions," and its presidential-themed music video.

She also shared the release date.

Grande updated her website with the new title and two countdowns. One points to October 23 at midnight ET, which was the arrival of her single, and the other points to midnight ET on October 30, presumably the arrival of her album.

The tracklist features some awesome collaborators.

Grande shared the full tracklist for her new album on Instagram, which revealed that duets with The Weeknd, Doja Cat, and Ty Dolla $ign will feature.

Grande has recently been teasing new music.

Over the past few months, the singer has hinted that new music is on the way with occasional clips on social media. Just last week, she revealed that she was "turning in" mixes for new songs with a selfie taken at what looks like a recording studio.

And in September, she shared a clip of her vocals layered in an angelic harmony.

This as-yet-untitled project would be Grande's sixth album, following Thank U, Next, which arrived in February 2019, and Sweetener, which dropped in August 2018.

The Internet is already going wild over the news.

Here are just a few of the reactions.

She recently teamed up for some big collaborations.

Outside of her new album, Grande joined forces with Lady Gaga earlier this year for "Rain on Me," a VMA winner, and Justin Bieber for "Stuck with U," a sweet love song for the quarantine era. The duet debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

She's also rumored to have something in the works with Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson for a holiday-themed project, which the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer recently teased on social media.
