Art Meets Style Meets The Sea At This Hotel In Barcelona
Stay in one of the most luxurious hotels in Barcelona that’s at the intersection of art, luxury and seaside serenity.
When you think of Barcelona, you wouldn’t normally think of the seaside. The sights of this Spanish city are heavily centred on the city, the famous cathedrals (read: Sagrada Familia) and all of Gaudi’s and Picasso’s magical sculptures and buildings. Of course, there’s the old part of town with the numerous little streets of colourful shops, tapas bars and a plethora of amazing restaurants. And who can miss Parc Guell with the mix of Gaudi’s multi-coloured mosaics, idiosyncratic organically-shaped buildings blended in with nature? After four very full days exploring this magical city, I was in desperate need of some tranquility.

Hotel Arts Barcelona immediately caught my eye. This architectural gem towers over the Mediterranean, perfectly blending the vibrancy of the city with breathtaking seaside views.
Just seven miles from Barcelona El Prat International Airport, this 44-story building features sleek glass and steel, a nod to Barcelona’s Olympic legacy. If money allows, opt for the Club facilities situated on the thirtieth floor, where you get to enjoy spacious luxury, stunning views, private check-in and access to the Club Lounge, which offers tapas and drinks throughout the day.

The penthouses, spanning the top floors, are truly a sight to behold. These serviced apartments come in one-to-three-bedroom layouts and include impressive amenities like airport transfers and personal shopping concierge services. I was captivated by the panoramic views from my private terrace, with uninterrupted views of the magnificent Sagrada Familia in the distance. I spent a few sunset evenings sipping sangria and marvelling at the architectural magnificence of this city beneath me. The golden rays of sun turned the whole city into a glistening ball of ochres and dusty pinks.
While Barcelona is a hive of excellent food and exciting tapas bars, this hotel stuns with exquisite dining at Enoteca Paco Pérez, the hotel’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant. Chef Pérez’s menu celebrates local ingredients, delivering dishes that encapsulate the essence of Catalonia. For a more casual experience, opt for al fresco dining at Marina Coastal Food & Pools. With cool sea breezes blowing in, enjoy a feast of salt baked fresh fish and seafood, accompanied by creative cocktails complementing the diverse menu beautifully.
The vibrant atmosphere of P41 Bar adds to the experience, where skilled mixologists craft innovative cocktails inspired by the flavors of Barcelona’s latitude. Surrounded by over 500 pieces of original art by Catalan and Spanish artists, it’s like stepping into an art-filled sanctuary.
