Calling all animal lovers and furry friends alike—Netflix is partnering with Save Our Street Dogs Singapore (SOSD) for possibly one of the most loving and fun dog adoption drives the city has seen: Netflix & Woof. Held this Saturday afternoon at 50 Tanjong Rhu Place, the event hopes to find new homes for dozens of furry friends (and new companions for equally loving humans), and everyone can get tons of photos together, either at the photobooth or by a caricature artist. A picnic-style screening of Benji under the stars will follow, and who better than your furry friends to just sit back and watch it with. LE DÎNER EN BLANC

Technically, this event will take place in May, but it's Singapore's hottest dinner experience, so it's always wise to book your places in advance. Le Dîner en Blanc is back this year for its sixth edition, and as always, is super secretive about where it will be held. What we do know is that you will be charmed by the wonderful experience of dining together under the stars, all dressed in white of course! This year's hosts are each exceptional in their own way as well—Brandmama's Jasmine Tuan; founder of Wanderwine and co-founder of Chab Events, Alexis Lhoyer; and CEO and co-founder of Chab Events, Guillaume Chabrières—so you know you'll be in good hands.

THE KEEPERS DESIGNER TRUNK SHOW

28 April at National Design Centre, #01-01

Local design collective Keepers is holding its inaugural Designer Trunk Show this weekend from 12pm to 6pm at the National Design Centre. The first edition pulls together four fashion brands—The Missing Piece, David’s Daughter, CRUISE and WEEKEND SUNDRIES—who will also present pieces that have been exclusively designed for the trunk show. Prices for the pieces will start at $89.

SING JAZZ 2018

6 and 7 April at Marina Bay Sands

The fifth edition of SING JAZZ, the Singapore International Jazz Festival, is back for yet another unforgettable weekend—and this is its biggest yet. The star-studded line-up will have jazz-funk enthusiasts revelling with Grammy-award winner Jamie Cullum and Estelle, while the legendary Lauryn Hill, whose album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was hailed as “one of the most incredible albums ever made”, will be bringing down the house with her soulful vocals. Homegrown talents like Tim De Cotta, MAS1A and weish will performing, so expect to be swinging to jazz and all its affiliated genres, including blues, reggae, R&B and electro trip-hop till 4am.

KATY PERRY - WITNESS: The Tour

A stage queen in so many ways, Katy Perry rules when it comes to pop songs, OTT wardrobes and dramatically original staging. The “Teenage Dream” is bringing her Witness: The Tour to Asia, and we hear it’s going to be a musical journey marked by mega hits and a blinding spectacle that will take audiences from outer-space into the depths of the deep blue sea.

MARITIME EXPERIENTIAL MUSEUM

The newly revamped Maritime Experiential Museum has finally opened its doors after a nine-month overhaul, promising a multi-sensory trip with five brand new zones alongside 15 thematic galleries. Experience what it’s like to be on a sinking ship in a treacherous storm at the Typhoon Theatre, or a pirate attack through projection technology, or even don the historical ensembles in the photo corner for the ‘gram. ART FROM THE STREETS EXHIBITION

For a city that’s long frowned upon unsanctioned public art, Singapore is now home to the region’s largest retrospective street art exhibition. There are floor-to-ceiling murals by Obey founder, Shepard Fairey; randomly placed mosaic works by Parisian artist, Invader; a spray paint masterpiece by graffiti legend Futura; an expressive wall by Singapore’s own Speak Cryptic; and a glass-encased Banksy. The exhibition curator, gallerist and street art expert, Magda Danysz says: “Street art is the most important art movement that has emerged in the 21^st century—these artists are the Picassos of our time.” Residing under the same roof as fine, classical and contemporary art collections at the ArtScience Museum, this street art spectacle signals an urban revolution.

TREASURES OF THE NATURAL WORLD EXHIBITION

The ArtScience Museum takes visitors on a walk on the wild side through Treasures of the Natural World, a rich and crucial collection in natural history from the prestigious Natural History Museum, London. Over 200 star objects have travelled to Southeast Asia for the first time, featuring a house of botany, queens of the jungle, extinct creatures, gemstones, as well as manuscripts by some of the world’s greatest scientists and discoverers of evolutionary biology.
