Bella Hadid Flips Off The NYPD For Not Wearing Masks
She isn't the first person to point out the department's flouting of public health guidelines during the era of COVID-19

- On Wednesday night, supermodel Bella Hadid shared a photo on Instagram of herself flipping off cops from the New York Police Department.
- "Hi @nypd masks are for all of our safety, not just urs," Hadid wrote over the picture.
- Hadid is far from the first person to point out the NYPD's flouting of public health guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic; many protesters during Black Lives Matter demonstrations have denounced the cops' mask-less presence in public.

Does ACAB actually stand for "All Cops Annoy Bella?"
The supermodel shared photos of herself in New York City on Instagram last night. Decked in a head-to-toe black outfit, including a black face mask, Hadid posed in front of a group of cops from the New York Police Department at City Hall. Not one single officer appears to be wearing a face mask.
"WEAR A MASK," Hadid wrote over the photo, adding, "u guys look goofy."
In another photo, Hadid gives them the finger. "Hi @nypd," she continued, "masks are for all of our safety, not just urs...:)"

Hadid is far from the first person to complain about the NYPD's flouting of public health guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic. Both New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have implored the NYPD to follow mask-wearing regulations. Black Lives Matter protesters, too, have denounced the usually mask-less presence of the NYPD at public demonstrations.
The constant forgoing of face masks by the NYPD has even inspired a new project, the NYPD Mask Watch, which uses data science, photographs, and videos to obtain the names of officers who aren't wearing masks in public.
"If we're asking everyone else to follow the rules, social distancing, wear a face covering for the protection of all, you should do it, too," de Blasio said in June. "It's just a human decency thing, and I've had this conversation with [the NYPD police commissioner] and I expect to see improvement in this area."
