Is it really a red carpet if Blackpink isn't there?

Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé of the insanely popular K-pop girl group have officially made their grand arrival at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. The foursome walked the red carpet in style, wearing matching all-black looks.

Lisa looked sophisticated in Celine, wearing a flowing black dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and an abdominal triangular cutout. She accessorized minimally, wearing a long gold chain necklace, bangles, and a pair of sleek, strappy black heels.

Jisoo chose a timeless spaghetti-strap maxi dress, which featured a black lace bustier and a black skirt with a dark floral-print overlay. For shoes, she wore pointed heels.

Jennie put a sultry spin on the monochromatic palette, wearing a halter crop top and a matching maxi skirt with a V-shaped waistline. She finished the ensemble with pumps.

Finally, Rosé wore a little black dress, this iteration featuring long sleeves, a mock turtleneck, and draping details around the waistline. She, too, wore black pumps.

Tonight, the group is up for two awards: Group of the Year and Best Metaverse Performance. They're also expected to complete a history-making performance tonight, becoming the first K-pop girl group to ever take the stage at the VMAs.

Back in 2020, Blackpink talked about their gratitude for their fans, dubbed Blinks, in an interview with Grammy.com.

"All the records are the results of our fans, BLINKs, and their unconditional support," Jennie said. "Every day we try to acknowledge how grateful we are, but more than the pressure, we are ready to give them back as much as they gave us. It just gives us more motivation to go further than we ever dreamed of."
