- Cardi B took to Instagram to defend her and husband Offset's decision to gift their two-year-old daughter a Birkin bag for her birthday.

- The rapper expressed that she sees no problem with wanting to outfit her daughter nicely for when she accompanies her and Offset on public outings.

One never forgets the day they get their very first Birkin—unless, of course, you’re Kulture Kiari Cephus, and you received yours at the tender age of two.

Kulture’s father, Migos member Offset, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video of him and his daughter unwrapping her own toddler-sized version of the supremely coveted designer bag. The special moment follows the over-the-top party Cardi B and Offset threw for family and close friends to celebrate their daughter's second birthday last week.

“Late is better then never I Birkin my baby,” wrote Offset in his caption. The toddler looked adorable donning a pink princess dress, matching bunny-ear headband, and ballet flats while she opened her birthday present.

Shortly after posting the video, some took to the post's comments section to critique the couple's choice of gifting their young daughter a luxe bag that costs thousands of dollars. But Cardi was quick to defend the decision.

“When celebrities buy their kids jewellery and designer shit, people be like, ‘Kids don’t care about that. They only care about toys and candy.’ Yeah, they only care about toys and candy, but the thing is the kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go do red carpets,” said the “Bodak Yellow” rapper in her Instagram Stories.

“And if I’m fly and Daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay, my kid’s having the same-same, you know what I’m saying? It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers,” continued Cardi. “Because if I was looking like a bad bitch, expensive bitch, and I have my kid looking like a bum-bum, then y’all would be talking shit. So I’m not mad that Daddy bought baby a Birkin. She’s gonna match Mommy.”
