Designers Wouldn't Dress Leslie Jones Because Of Her Size
Even goddesses have to get dressed, but Leslie Jones has been having a hard time of it. The Saturday Night Live comic and Ghost Busters star said on Tuesday that brands haven't exactly been fighting for the chance to dress her for the red carpet.
"It's so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for a movie," she tweeted.
Within the hour, Christian Siriano swooped in and saved the day.
Siriano, who is known for dressing—and celebrating—curvy women on the red carpet, explained in an email that he is a "huge fan" of Jones and her work: "I can't wait to create something special for her to wear. Hopefully, I will see her in my studio this week to make something new and exciting for her to wear. I support all women no matter age or size!"
