Dua Lipa Pairs Her SpongeBob-Themed Leather Jacket With Reflective Silver Boots
If Bikini Bottom Fashion Week were a thing.
You might get nostalgic looking at Dua Lipa's latest outfit.
The "Don't Start Now" singer made a fashion statement by reviving a childhood cartoon favorite via her clothes, according to her most recent Instagram photo dump.
In pictures she shared today, Lipa wears a lemon yellow leather racing jacket with a matching leather miniskirt. On the back of the jacket is black embroidery of the face of SpongeBob, the beloved main character of the Nickelodeon series. The playful set hails from GCDS's spring/summer 2023 collection.
Lipa styled the look with a plain white T-shirt, which coordinated with the white panels on the jacket. She also elevated the ensemble with her accessories, stepping out in reflective silver knee-high boots and carrying a matching metallic silver rectangular clutch.

The yellow leather set isn't GCDS's only runway homage to SpongeBob SquarePants. Other pieces from the collection also inspired by the cartoon include a sexy pink slipdress printed with an illustration of SpongeBob riding a jellyfish, a crocheted microkini made in the shape of character Patrick Star, a cowl-neck minidress in lilac featuring a glittering SpongeBob embellishment, a black bomber jacket with similar SpongeBob embroidery on the back, and so much more.
The singer showed support for the designer by sitting front row at their show this past Milan Fashion Week. At the time, she wore a see-through black mesh jumpsuit with a mock turtleneck, a cutout on the backside, and long sleeves that extended into gloves. Underneath, she wore a black bra and underwear, as well as a pair of black platform heels. She capped off the look with a glossy red heart-shaped purse.
