Emily Ratajkowski Says That Robin Thicke Groped Her On The "Blurred Lines" Video Set
In an excerpt from her upcoming book, My Body, the model writes about the singer grabbing her bare breasts.
Emily Ratajkowski is claiming that she was sexually assaulted on the set of "Blurred Lines."
The model-actress reportedly writes about her experience filming the 2013 music video with singer Robin Thicke in her upcoming essay collection, My Body. According to an excerpt published by The Sunday Times, which claims it obtained an advanced copy, Ratajkowski, now 30, says that Thicke groped her bare breasts on the set of the uncensored video.
Per the outlet, Ratajkowski writes that she enjoyed filming the video, which had an all-female crew, until she began shooting a scene with just Thicke. She also claims that the singer, now 44, "returned to the set a little drunk to shoot just with me."

"Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger's hands cupping my bare breasts from behind. I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke," the excerpt reads.
It continues, "He smiled a goofy grin and stumbled backward, his eyes concealed behind his sunglasses. My head turned to the darkness beyond the set. [Director Diane Martel's] voice cracked as she yelled out to me, 'Are you okay?'"
Neither Ratajkowski nor Thicke has commented about the accusation, per People. But video director Martel confirmed the incident with The Sunday Times. "I screamed in my very aggressive Brooklyn voice, 'What the f— are you doing, that's it!! The shoot is over!!'" she recalled.
"Robin sheepishly apologized. As if he knew it was wrong without understanding how it might have felt for Emily," she added. Martel also said that after she threatened to shut down production, Ratajkowski "was very professional and said we could go on."
The excerpt continues with Ratajkowski reportedly writing that the incident made her feel "naked for the first time that day" and that she was "desperate to minimize" the situation. "I pushed my chin forward and shrugged, avoiding eye contact, feeling the heat of humiliation pump through my body. I didn't react—not really, not like I should have," she writes.

"With that one gesture, Robin Thicke had reminded everyone on set that we women weren't actually in charge. I didn't have any real power as the naked girl dancing around in his music video. I was nothing more than the hired mannequin," she continues.
Thicke has not commented on The Sunday Times' report, but he previous told People that during the time the controversial single became a hit, he was abusing painkillers and alcohol while going through a divorce with Paula Patton.
"You don't realize you're not in control. Fame and a lot of those things—they got to me. I was in a bad place. I'm happy to have closed that chapter," he told the outlet.
The song itself has been scrutinized for promoting rape culture, with critics pointing out the lyric, "I know you want it." Ratajkowski has not publicly spoken about the song since its release.
My Body will be released in bookstores on November 9 from Macmillan Publishers.
