Emily Ratajkowski Showers Son Sylvester With Love On First Birthday

Model Emily Ratajkowski celebrated her son's first birthday this week and gushed about how much joy he brings to her life.

On Tuesday, Ratajkowski shared a series of photos of Sylvester Apollo Bear's birthday party on her Instagram Story, as well as a snap of herself with her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, and their baby.

"1 year of Sly," she wrote. "Happy birthday to my sweet boy."

Ratajkowski said the day of her son's birth was "the most magical day of my life," and added that he "has brought me joy and magic I'd never imagined."

In one of the photos the model shared, Sylvester is seen standing in front of a white wall with silver balloons that spell out his name. He looks adorable in a brown houndstooth vest, a white floral-patterned shirt, and matching pants. Another photo shows the one-year-old smiling and reaching for his colorful birthday cake.

"We love being your parents," Ratajkowski wrote on the photo of herself with her boys. "Love doesn't even begin to describe it."

The model revealed her pregnancy news in an essay for Vogue in October 2020, in which she also stressed how uninterested she and her husband are in gender. "When my husband and I tell friends that I'm pregnant, their first question after 'Congratulations' is almost always 'Do you know what you want?' We like to respond that we won't know the gender until our child is 18 and that they'll let us know then," Ratajkowski wrote. She added that she had no idea what kind of person was growing inside her, but she was excited to find out.

In March of last year, she announced Sylvester's birth with a beautiful photo of her breastfeeding him. "Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side. Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life," she wrote in the caption.

Since welcoming Sylvester, Ratajkowski has posted various sweet photos of him on social media, always showering him with love. "How did I get so lucky," she captioned a sweet close-up of her blue-eyed baby boy this February.

And in November of last year, she shared photos of her hugging a smiley Sylvester who had crawled up the stairs to meet her. "Nothing better," she wrote.
