These Are The Models That Gained The Most Instagram Followers In 2016

There is no doubt social media has become an increasingly important part of a model's career, and statistics show that Gigi Hadid is doing it right. Instagram has compiled a list of models and other fashion personalities who have gained the most followers in 2016, and the results probably won't surprise you.

Gigi tops the list after gaining incredible 16,033,757 new followers this year. Her little sister Bella is not far behind, which definitely reflects the success they have had in their careers in 2016. Others included on this list were Gisele Bündchen, although she's had a fairly low-profile year, designer Victoria Beckham, and model-turned-actor Cara Delevingne. Fellow It girl Kendall Jenner didn't make the list, most likely due to her recent short Instagram hiatus.
