Jennifer Lopez is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the industry today.

From "Jenny from the Block" to Selena, from Maid in Manhattan to "Ni Tú Ni Yo," the 50-year-old performer has dominated the entertainment industry for nearly three decades. And as her work continues to evolve, she doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Is it possible that she can bring the legendary EGOT status to her already-brimming shelves of accolades? After her work on the film Hustlers, critics seem to think that J.Lo is barreling her way toward the upcoming Academy Awards, which would bring her one step closer to fulfilling the criteria of being an EGOT winner, or a performer who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. The status is so rare that only 15 people in history have ever done it (the most recent EGOT winner is John Legend).

Lopez has already earned some initial nods for her performance as Ramona in the hit Lorene Scafaria film; such as a Golden Globe nomination for Supporting Actress (the last time she was nominated was in 1998 for her portrayal of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez), an Independent Spirit Awards nomination for Supporting Female, and a Critics' Choice Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Here are all the EGOT–relevant awards and nominations that J.Lo has thus far.

Emmys

Emmy Awards are the highest American accolade for excellence in television. Although J.Lo has yet to be nominated for an Emmy, her career actually started with In Living Color, a '90s sketch-comedy television series in which she appeared as a regular Fly Girl dancer. J.Lo additionally crafted her TV personality when she appeared as a judge on American Idol from 2014 to 2016.

Grammys

J.Lo has two Grammy nominations, but has not won the award yet. Her songs "Waiting for Tonight" and "Let's Get Loud" were nominated for Best Dance Recording in 1999 and 2000, respectively.

Oscars

Critics are raving over J.Lo's inimitable performance on Hustlers, in which she plays Ramona, the ringleader of a group of strippers who set out to rob rich clients. The Oscar buzz over her role is hard to drown out. Even The New York Times has suggested the potential of an Academy Award nomination for J.Lo, with one critic writing, "I suspect critics' groups could get behind Lopez, too, especially the influential New York Film Critics Circle, which has a habit of rewarding stars the rest of the cognoscenti might be tempted to dismiss, like Cameron Diaz (for 'There's Something About Mary') and Tiffany Haddish (for 'Girls Trip')." If the Academy does push forward with Hustlers, this would be J.Lo's first Oscar nomination.

Still, this isn't the first time she's been lauded for her acting chops. J.Lo previously starred as Selena Quintanilla, the Mexican–American pop star who was murdered in 1995, in the biographical film Selena (1997). For this role, she was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Tonys

While J.Lo has yet to be nominated for a Tony Award, or the highest accolade that recognizes excellence in Broadway theater, we wouldn't put it past her to lend her time-tested performance skills to the stage. If her intense training for the pole dancing in Hustlers is any indication, J.Lo has what it takes to make a great show.
