Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Have Settled Their Divorce

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce is settled after the couple filed legal documents today, TMZ reports.

Depp agreed to pay his estranged wife $7 million, and Heard dismissed her domestic violence restraining order against Depp with prejudice, which means she can never file it again.

The former couple released a joint public statement about their relationship and resulting divorce, released by the news site:

"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."

Heard first filed for divorce in May this year, after she and Depp were married for a little over a year. The couple wed in February 2015, after dating for about three years. They confirmed their engagement in 2014. Soon after filing for divorce, news broke that Heard also filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her now ex-husband, noting bruises allegedly caused by Depp "various times during their marriage."

Nearly three months later, the divorce is settled. Depp and Heard have no children together, despite rumors that circulated in January. Depp does have two children of his own with his ex Vanessa Paradis: rising model and actress Lily-Rose, 17, and Jack, 14.
