New light has been shed on an infamous Old Hollywood affair, thanks to a newly-surfaced love letter from Judy Garland to Frank Sinatra.

The handwritten note, which is four pages long, is believed to be from the two stars' on-and-off affair during the 1950s. Garland sent the letter—which is going to be up for bids at the RR Auction in Boston, Page Six reports—to Sinatra on her personal letterhead after an alleged secret meeting in the Hamptons, and signed it "Judy."

Part of the letter read: "You said today that you'd been negligent. But darling—that's so unimportant compared to the great amount of happiness you've given me. I shan't forget the hours we've spent together—ever!"

Sinatra and Garland's romantic relationship began in 1949, while she was still married to Vincente Minnelli. The auction house said that the couple's affair resumed in 1955 when she was separated from her third husband, Sid Luft.
