Kate Middleton And Prince William Post A Heartfelt Christmas Message "Wishing For A Better 2021"

The royal family knows that 2020 hasn't been a normal year for anyone, which is why Kate Middleton and Prince William have posted an unusual Christmas message on Instagram for 2020.
Usually, the royal family heads to church on the Sandringham Estate on Christmas morning, where they're greeted by crowds of fans helping to celebrate the occasion. However, due to current coronavirus guidelines in the United Kingdom, large Christmas gatherings aren't allowed to take place, and that goes for the royal family, too.

While the queen and Prince Philip are spending the festive day at Windsor Castle, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating Christmas with their children. Duchess Kate and Prince William also decided to share a special message on Instagram, in which they acknowledged 2020's unprecedented holiday season, and wished for a better 2021.
"This Christmas our thoughts are with those of you who are spending today alone," the Cambridges wrote, "those of you who are grief stricken from the loss of a loved one and those of you on the frontline who are somehow mustering the energy to put your own lives on hold and at risk to look after the rest of us."
"Wishing you a merry Christmas doesn’t feel right this year," Kate and William said, "so instead we’re wishing for a better 2021."

The official Kensington Palace Instagram account shared a series of pictures highlighting the very different Christmas most people are having in 2020, and shared a list of resources for anyone in need. "And for those who are struggling today, there is support out there if you need it," they wrote, before listing charities and organizations which can offer help at this difficult time.
