Kate Middleton regularly channels her mother-in-law's impeccable style. So it's totally unsurprising that she selected the most apt jewelry to wear at Archie's christening, in order to honor the baby's late grandmother, Princess Diana.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a beautiful Stella McCartney dress to the christening at Windsor Castle, which she accessorized with a Juliette Botterill headband (per @ufonomore) and a pair of Emmy London red pumps (per @GabiK_blogoKate). And, most notably, Kate wore a pair of pearl earrings which belonged to Princess Diana.

And Kate's choice couldn't be more apt, as Diana famously wore the earrings to Prince Harry's christening. It goes without saying that it's incredibly sweet that the Duchess of Cambridge wore the earrings to the christening of Prince Harry's own son, making the sweetest reference to Diana in the process:

Kate has worn Diana's Collingwood pearl earrings on several occasions, including at a State Banquet in October 2018 in honor of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. For the special event, Kate also donned another of Princess Diana's favorite pieces—the Lover's Knot tiara.

It's also worth noting that Kate has worn her pink Stella McCartney dress prior to Archie's christening. The duchess was photographed in the striking look when she attended the Queen's Christmas luncheon in December 2018.

Kate also wore a pair of pearl earrings with the dress on its previous outing. According to Twitter user @KateMCambridge, the duchess opted for in2 design's unusual baroque pearl drop earrings, which retail for $152 on that occasion.

With so many incredible earrings in her arsenal, Duchess Kate's choice of jewelry at Archie's christening was completely inspired. Not only did the duchess channel her late mother-in-law, but she attended the occasion wearing the exact same pair of earrings that Princess Diana wore to Prince Harry's christening. Perfect.
