Lady Gaga is returning to the MTV Video Music Awards. The "Rain on Me" singer took to Twitter today to announce that she will be a headlining performer at the 2020 MTV VMAs. But rather than just relay the news with a boring announcement, Gaga tweeted video of herself casually sipping a glass of red wine (Pinot Noir? Tempranillo? Malbec?) while donning a pink fuzzy bathrobe and an otherworldly avant-garde headpiece.

"I've been at home dreaming of #Chromatica, and it's finally time to take off for the first live performance. Tune in to the #VMAs on 8/30!" wrote Gaga alongside the video. The clip, which hovers around Gaga as dramatic orchestral music plays in the background, is quickly cut off when the singer lurches toward the camera, leaving only the words stay tuned.

Gaga's return to the VMA stage will be her first live performance since releasing her sixth studio album, Chromatica, earlier this summer and her first time back at the awards show since 2013. A front-runner for this year's ceremony with a leading nine nominations, Gaga is up for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Artist of the Year, and more.

The singer previously celebrated her nine nominations with a fresh-faced, at-home selfie on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for her fans' support on her latest project.

"I am so grateful and so blessed to have 9 #VMAs nominations this year for my album Chromatica, for Rain On Me, and other performances I've given," wrote Gaga in her post. "This is such a difficult time for people all over the world, I really honor how lucky I am to have a day like today. I hope you all will celebrate yourselves in this moment, everyone should be nominated for an award right now. For bravery, for courage, for the strong human spirit. God bless you and I love you thank you for this gift today. 😭❤️"
