Meet Leonard Lim, the founder of Wild Group and the man behind artistes from Thailand’s Sorn to Singapore’s Tasha Low, and most recently, Sandara Park from legendary Korean girl group 2NE1. While Lim is working on a number of projects in the regional entertainment scene, he has his feet firmly planted in the local food scene too. He’s a partner of Milli Sky Dining, Bar and Lounge, set atop the rooftop of National Gallery Singapore, and the buzzy Bae’s Cocktail Club, a spot frequented by K-pop stars when they’re in town, such as LISA and the SEVENTEEN members.

Below, he shares how he builds connections from genuine conversations, what drives his creative ventures and what’s next for him.

Three songs you have on repeat right now?

“Skin” by Rebecca Armstrong; “Good Luck” by Sorn, and “Nobody Else” by Haven. I spend a lot of time around music, and these are the songs at the top of the Wild playlist currently. Each one hits a different mood.

Your must-have tech device?

My Oura Ring. It’s probably the one piece of tech that has changed my routine. I travel a lot, so having a better understanding of my sleep, recovery and energy levels has been useful.

One hobby you’ve been trying out?

I’ve been playing tennis two to three times a week lately. It’s become one of my favourite ways to switch off, it’s hard to think about anything else when you’re on the court. These days, it’s important for me to take some time to step away from what’s spinning in my head.

Milli Sky Dining, Bar & Lounge. The views from the top of the National Gallery are hard to beat, especially at sunset. I also love how the menu takes familiar Singaporean flavours and presents them in a way that feels fresh and contemporary. It’s one of the projects I’m proud to be a part of.

Your best tip for making new and meaningful connections?

I’ve learnt that meaningful connections are built on attention, not access. Everyone talks about networking, but I think people remember how you made them feel and whether you genuinely listened. Most of the relationships that have shaped my career started with authentic conversations rather than strategic introductions.

Your favourite trend?

Wellness. Contrast therapy, red light therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy are part of my routine to help me recover faster and manage jet lag. When I’m in Singapore, Matter at One Holland Village is usually where you’ll find me.

What motivates you?

Curiosity. I’ve always been interested in challenging the way things are traditionally done and exploring what comes next. The media and entertainment industry is constantly evolving, and that’s what keeps me excited.

What’s something that you’re excited about lately?

One of the things I’m most excited about this year is a new chapter as we introduce our official Formula 1 after-party in Singapore, “RÉSERVÉ”, on 10 and 11 October. Set against the iconic Supreme Court Terrace at the National Gallery Singapore, it’s a project we’ve been quietly developing with the ambition of creating something that feels truly world-class.

Rather than simply hosting another event, our vision is to curate an experience that brings together global tastemakers, creatives, industry leaders and cultural icons in one of Singapore’s most remarkable settings. It will be highly considered and is designed to become one of the defining moments of the Formula 1 weekend.
