These Are The Most Popular Airbnbs For Weddings

These homes will make you want to reconsider your wedding venue

Airbnb has quickly become one of our favourite hotel alternatives, and the ideal way to immerse ourselves in a destination while travelling. It also doesn't hurt that it helps save a few dollars on accommodations–so we don't feel so guilty about splurging on that five-course tasting menu.

Staying at a luxury rental, sure. But what about wedding at one? More and more brides are skipping traditional wedding venues and renting everything from a castle in Scotland, to a Tuscan villa, to a modern home in Bali for their nuptials. Before you book a hotel for your walk down the aisle, check out Airbnb's list of the top 10 most wish-listed homes for weddings. You may love one so much that you'll consider releasing that hold on your hotel block.

A few tips for throwing your wedding at a rental property:

Be sure to select "suitable for events" under featured amenities when searching for wedding venues.

Before booking, let your host know you're planning a wedding. They'll likely be extra accommodating when it comes to production on the ground, and share red flags you'll need to know pre-booking to avoid added costs. Don't forget to ask questions—your host will likely have great recommendations for local caterers, floral designers, musicians and more.
