Prince William returned to royal duties after the holiday break yesterday, but he made sure to secure a souvenir to keep his oldest son, Prince George, happy. After visiting the Air Ambulance Charity in London, the Duke of Cambridge received a number of goodies, including a toy helicopter, which is bound to entertain his five-year-old.
"I can't get back without a helicopter; George will never forgive me," the prince joked. The third in line for the throne is known to be a helicopter and airplane fanatic. (Remember his field day with choppers at the Hamburg airport?)

This isn't the first time William has joked about George asking for a keepsake from work. In December, when he visited the Royal Air Force (RAF) station in Cyprus with wife Kate Middleton, he told a group of pilots, "I told George this morning we were going to see the pilots today, and he said, ‘If you see a helicopter can you take a picture?’”

George's enthusiasm for flying is reminiscent of his father's. Prince William served as a RAF helicopter pilot for five years before retiring in 2017 to work full-time as a royal, according to The Telegraph. He even proved he still hadn't lost his flying skills yesterday, and co-piloted a helicopter during his engagement with Air Ambulance.

William also got toys for his other two children, including a small stuffed helicopter for his and Kate's youngest. "That will get on extremely well," he joked. "Louis will be chewing that before long."
The duke also received a handmade card for Kate, who celebrated her 37th birthday yesterday, but he noted that his daughter will be a fan of the note too. "Charlotte's going to love this," he said. The middle Cambridge child is said to be a fan of arts and crafts.
