The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual St Patrick's Day parade at Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, West London yesterday.
In keeping with sartorial tradition, the Duchess of Cambridge flew the Irish flag in an emerald dress coat (rumoured to be custom Alexander McQueen) finished with her go-to £522 Gianvito Rossi pumps.
To finish the diplomatic ensemble, the mother-of-three wore the Battalion’s shamrock brooch and Kiki McDonough earrings.

In touching tradition sure to please royal fans, the couple were also reunited with Irish wolfhound and mascot, Domhnall, who also received a shamrock.

The royal family have attended the St Patrick's Day parade every year since 1901 when Queen Alexandra led the way.
As for the shamrock tradition, the Queen Mother was first to take part in the ceremony with the Duchess of Cambridge famously taking on the role in 2012.

Following the parade, the royal couple had lunch with the officers and it's likely they enjoyed a pint of Guinness or two as well.
