The Top 5 Snubs At The 64th Annual Grammy Awards

Another Grammy Awards season has come and gone. While the night witnessed some impressive sweeps (looking at you, Jon Batiste) and emotional first wins (still reeling from Doja Cat's tear-jerking speech), others faced some incomprehensible snubs.

Ahead, the most surprising omissions from the Grammys winning list.

BTS

The boy band earned their second Grammys nomination, being recognized in the category of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song, "Butter." Ultimately, the group lost to Doja Cat and SZA for their hit single, "Kiss Me More."

BTS Army expressed their disappointment on Twitter—even going so far as to dub the prestigious ceremony as the #Scammys.

Billie Eilish

Eilish amassed seven nominations at this year's Grammys, getting nods in the categories of Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Film, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.

Considering the singer's history of sweeping awards shows, it was a little more than eyebrow raising that she left without adding another golden gramophone to her collection.

Lil Nas X

The rapper made waves this year with the release of his debut studio album, Montero, so it surprised no one when he racked up five nominations at this year's Grammys. He got nods in the categories of Record of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.

Ultimately, though, he lost out in all of his nominated categories. Despite the snubs, Nas poked fun at his losses on Twitter.

In a tweet, he joked, "Can't believe I lost all my grammys. I am now no longer gay!"

Justin Bieber

This year, the singer received eight nominations: Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance, Album of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video. Surprisingly, he left the show empty-handed.

Still, wife Hailey Bieber praised his accomplishments. "So proud of you and the Justice album. What an incredible year it's been! So much to celebrate," she wrote on her Instagram Story over a photo of her and the singer kissing in their Grammys looks.

Best Reggae Album

SOJA, a predominantly white band, took home the Grammy for Best Reggae Album for their album Beauty in the Silence. The win immediately drew the ire of some reggae fans, who questioned the Recording Academy's snub of the five other Jamaican nominees: Spice, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal, Gramps Morgan, and Etana.
