We’re now well and truly into the second half of the year now and it’s time to gear up for some exciting upcoming celebrations in the next few months. But for now, July is all about getting fit, enjoying some of Singapore’s finest offerings, and of course a few great shows coming our way.

Snoopy Run, 1 July

Get the whole family together and enjoy a fun morning of light exercise! The Snoopy Run is open to anyone over five years old and involves routes that are about 4 to 5km. Get out and enjoy this run inspired by one of the world’s favourite cartoon characters and get some low-intensity exercise at the same tie.

Celine Dion Live 2018 in Singapore, 3-4 July

The queen of power ballads is coming to Singapore and her two-night performance in the city is set to be filled with her top-charting hits from a long and illustrious career. Not to be missed if you were a big fan of her 90s and 2000s hits like “It’s all coming back to me” and “Because you loved me”, not to mention a little song called “My heart will go on.”

Celebrating local talent and writing in the Lion City, the Singapore Theatre is presented by local threatre group W!LD RICE and showcases eight brand new productions conceptualized and created by local writers and producers. It runs for three weeks showcasing stories that will entertain, amuse and make you think and has since 2006, been the only festival in Singapore that focuses on presenting fully realized productions of new local writing.

K-Pop fans get ready, after a small meet-and-greet earlier this year, Wanna One is heading back to Singapore as part of their world tour. This will be the band’s first full-fledged concert in the country so fans can expect it’s going to be good.

It’s time to celebrate all things food here, from hawker centres to Michelin-starred restaurants, all at the Singapore Food Festival. Held over a weekend, this festival is all about showcasing the best in food in the city – and as we all know, there’s a lot to be proud of. Expect to sample local favourites as well as innovative collaborations between chefs, as well as entertainment such as musical performances and cooking classes.

International Champions Cup, 26-30 July

Get ready as the biggest names in international football face off against each other at the National Stadium. As the Southeast Asian stop on the International Champions Cup tour, Singapore gets to play host to some of the biggest names in European football, with past visiting teams including FC Bayern Munich, Chelsea FC and Internazionale Milan. Expect opportunities during this weekend to interact with your favourite players as they head out into the city to sample local fare or visit major attractions.

Head over to Gardens by the Bay for this floral exhibition that will showcase garden designs and floral creations for a little home inspo. It doesn’t matter if you’re a serious gardener or just have an interest in plants, this festival will inspire you with new ways to decorate the house (or your room) and the variety of plants will astound you.

Singtel- Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer, 22 July

One in three Singaporeans die of cancer every year, which is why an event like this to raise awareness and funds to run programmes and services is so important. Sign up to take part and start training for the three different categories. You can choose to compete in the 10km or 15km run, or just enjoy the “fun run” of 5km. Whichever you choose you’ll be doing your part.

Sasha Velour Live in Singapore, 25 July

Winner of hit show RuPaul Drag Race Season 9 and reigning queen, Sasha velour visits Singapore for the first time to perform some of her famous numbers like “Cellophane,” This Woman’s Work” and “Don’t Cry Out Loud,” not to mention some brand new material.
