Gorgeous interior design and delicious food is a match made in foodie heaven. Here are three of the latest restaurants to open in Singapore that guarantee that delectable combination.
With Your Significant Other
Feast on some of the heartiest meats at Camp Kilo with its outdoor setting along the Kallang riverside. Boneless lechon, whole roasted hog, chipotle barbeque ribs, crispy pork belly, roast chicken… You’ll be spoilt for choice. Whole pig roasts were central to co-founder Joshua Adjodha’s childhood—he and his family would come together to cook and enjoy it every Christmas in the Caribbean. Showing off the influence of its founders, the fusion side dishes got us excited. Our personal favourites are the tom yam “cocido” beans ($8), deep fried brussel sprouts ($14) and chipotle corn furikake ($10). It’s time to #getcrackling. Camp Kilo serves all-day roast from 11am to 11pm on weekends, and 5:30pm to 11pm on Fridays.
With Your Girlfriends
The botany printed wallpaper, vintage books and wooden accents make you think you’re in a rustic lodge in the middle of a forest when you’re actually in a colonial Black and White house in Rochester Park. Look forward to yummy Fish & Chips served with homemade tartar sauce ($18) served on mismatched dining pates sourced from Chinatown. For brunch, we recommend the Devil’s Breakfast, eggs served with a spicy tomato ragout of chorizo and potato, guacamole and homemade sambal ($20). Lunch is served from 11:30am to 2:30pm; dinner is served from 6pm to 1030pm and brunch is served on the weekends from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Drinks and baked goods are available from 2:30 to 6pm from Tuesdays to Sundays.
With Your Family
Want to go snap-happy and keep the family satisfied? Make The Clan, at PoMo, the spot for your next family outing. If you are wondering about it because the mall is more of a student hangout, you will change your mind once you get up to the 2nd level. Reopened with a new menu and a new culinary team, the cosy restaurant is well lit and spacious. Chefs Eddie Chan and John Ng serve up some delectable European fare with just the right sprinklings of Asian spices. The Wagyu Beef Loin ($48) with Himalayan salt and the Quail ($40) in carrot purée will have you come back for more. If you are a dessert person, you will love Pastry Chef Guang’s offerings. The Eton Martini ($18) and the Matcha Yuzu ($20) made it to our “favourites” list. If you are looking for some casual, quality catch-up with the folks or your spouse, the veranda bar area is perfect. Set Lunches, $29++ for two courses; $38++ for
three courses.

Pick and mix. We recommend the pork ribs ($15 for half a rack) and roast chicken ($18 for a whole chicken).
