An Unpublished Photo Of The Queen As A Teenager And More Royal Pictures Will Be Auctioned

Childhood photos of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret will soon be put up for auction at the London–based Chiswick Auctions, where the photos are expected to reach at least £2,500 (about $3,215), according to the Daily Mail. British society photographer Marcus Adams is the man behind the lens, capturing photos of both the queen and sister Margaret ever since their mother, Queen Elizabeth I, began taking them to be photographed at his London photography studio.
Adams first started snapping photos of the future monarch in 1926 and continued to work as a royal photographer until 1956 (the queen continued taking portraits with him once she became a mother herself). Among the 53-photo collection is an unpublished photo of a then-teenage Princess Elizabeth, dressed in a blazer, tartan kilt, and loafers.
