V&A Celebrates The Swinging Sixties On Carnaby Street
The museum has launched a pop-up retail space to coincide with its new exhibition, 'You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966–1970'

The V&A has opened a pop-up shop in Soho's Carnaby Street themed around its latest exhibition, 'You Say You Want A Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966–1970', which celebrates the revolutionary spirit of the late 1960s.
Among the products on sale at the store are psychedelic posters, prints featuring iconic imagery from the period and fashion items including a silk scarf designed by the artist Alan Aldridge, who is best known for his illustrations of the Beatles' song lyrics.

The collaboration with Carnaby will continue later this year when the London district, which is renowned for its fashion and music heritage, unveils Christmas lights inspired by the exhibition. Evoking the mood of "peace and love" that characterised the neighbourhood back in the Swinging Sixties, the luminous installation will be displayed above the 13 streets of Carnaby, making it the largest of its kind to date.
