Donatella Versace Partied It Up In Hong Kong For Her New Store Opening
The Italian designer was in town along with CEO Jonathan Akeroyd for the opening of their new Hong Kong flagship

Trust Donatella Versace to throw a party when Versace opened its new flagship store in Hong Kong.
Located right opposite the lavish The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, the Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower introduced the luxury Italian label's latest boutique to Hong Kong's shopping district with a star-studded grand opening. Hong Kong's celebrities and society elites including model/actress Jennifer Tse, jewellery designer Bao Bao Wan, hair maestro Kim Robinson, influencer Tina Leung and model Danielle Graham were among the exclusive guest list who made their graceful appearance at the tastefully designed two-storey store that features exquisite fior de bosco floor tiling and accented with glistening brass ware.

While some of the stylish guests were clinking champagne flutes and catching up within the extravagant 684 square metre space, others were admiring and making notes on what to add to their wish list from brand's RTW, accessories and jewellery collection which were displayed on the first floor, and luxury home ware and atelier collection which were displayed on the second. Although every piece from the spring/summer 2017 collection were the season's must-haves, it was the the limited edition Swarovski-studded mini Palazzo Empire bag come with a metallic tag inscribed The Palazzo Empire celebrating Hong Kong designed specially for the event that won hearts of those in attendance with its timeless design and a glamourous spin. Limited numbers of the Palazzo Empire bag in precious skins with Versace For Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower Hong Kong engraved on a detachable external metallic tag have also been made available to commemorate the event.

Before long, cameras flashed furiously and guests flocked to the entrance with their phones held high as Shanghai Commercial Banks' MD and Chief Executive David Shek-Shi Kwok and Taiwanese superstar Chang Chen who were both the guests-of-honour that evening made their arrival to the much-anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony. Joined by Versace's CEO Jonathan Akeroyd and Versace's Artistic Director and celebrity in her own right, Donatella Versace, the influential names officiated the ceremony right outside the gorgeous backlit onyx facade.

The fashionable event didn't end there. The well-dressed guests were then whisked away to Shaw Studios where Donatella showcased Versace's punk-themed fall/winter 2017 collection with a compelling runway show that was closed by international model Marjan Jonkman. As soon as the curtains closed and Donatella took her bow, everyone flocked to the prolific designer for selfies (who disappeared into the night shortly), before the glamour-filled evening ended with guests vibing to the beats of three-time DMC champion DJ Wordy's awesome tracks at the after party.
