There's been no shortage of royal weddings this year, and we couldn't be happier. From Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's romantic nuptials in May to Princess Eugenie's regal wedding to Tom Brookbanks earlier this month. Now, we have photos from a German royal wedding to feast our eyes on.

Over the weekend Duchess Sophie of Württemberg tied the knot with Count Maximilien of Andigné in a beautiful ceremony in Germany. The bride wore a white belted column gown with a train overlay, three-quarter sleeves and bateau neckline. She also coordinated her look with a short lace veil and stunning diamond-encrusted tiara.

According to the Daily Mail, they are "descendants of the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg, which existed from 1805 to 1918, formerly the Duchy of Württemberg, which began in 1495."

If we didn't know better, we'd think that the German Duchess was inspired by another royal, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Markle's wedding moment reinvigorated the classic trend and many have credited her for its resurgence since May. Her dress, a custom creation by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, gave a nod to 1950s film actress Audrey Hepburn.

There were some slight differences between the gowns however. The German Duchess's neckline was not as wide as Markle's which showed off a bit of her shoulders. Duchess Sophie's gown was also a slim column design compared to the A-line silhouette of Meghan's Givenchy gown.

It's possible that Meghan also drew inspiration for her own gown from another princess bride. Princess Angela who married Prince Maximilian of Lichtenstein wore a very similar boatneck wedding gown for her nuptials in 2000.
