Jennifer Aniston has confirmed that there is no chance she will reunite with her Friends costars at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards this coming Sunday.

On Monday, Aniston revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she's opting not to attend the awards ceremony despite the fact that Friends: The Reunion has been nominated for four Emmy nominations. "No, I will not be going," she told Kimmel. "I think Ben Winston, our producer and director, [who's] incredible, who put the whole thing together [will go]."

Aniston added that her appearance on Kimmel's late-night show alone is among one of her first major post-quarantine outings, as she's been taking things slow amid the pandemic. "This is a big step for me to just be here," Aniston said. "I'm just [taking] baby steps."

Friends: The Reunion, which was released on HBO Max in May, saw all the Friends cast members reunite and discuss their favorite moments from the show with host James Corden. The reunion special was nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, as well as Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special.

When the Emmy nominations were announced, back in July, Aniston shared her reaction on Instagram, posting to her story, "Congrats to my @friends family on FOUR Emmy nominations. This was such a special reunion for us and we couldn't be happier to share it all with you." She went on to gush over the reunion's director, Ben Winston, for all his work on making it happen. "You're brilliant and WE LOVE YOU!" she added.

Aniston also shared her excitement over the nominations with Entertainment Tonight. "We're in the same category as Hamilton, so that's the closest I'll get to a Broadway show," Aniston said.
