Zendaya Just Made History As The Youngest Two-Time Emmy Winner Ever
The actress dedicated her acceptance speech to "anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are a Rue."

Zendaya keeps making Emmy Awards history.
The actress took home her second Emmy this year, winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for playing Rue Bennett on the second season of Euphoria. The superstar is now the first Black woman to win the Emmy twice in the category, as well as the youngest two-time winner of any Emmy in history.
In her emotional speech, the 26-year-old sweetly thanked the Television Academy, her family and friends, and the Euphoria cast and crew for "making such a safe space to make this very difficult show.
She also gave a special shout-out to show creator Sam Levinson, saying, "Thank you for believing in me even in moments where I didn't believe in myself."
Finally, the Spider-Man actress dedicated her award to fans and viewers who have shared their own stories and related to the show's content.
"My greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their story with me," she said. "I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are a Rue, I want you to know that I am so grateful for your stories, and I carry them with me, and I carry them with her."
Earlier this evening, Zendaya walked the red carpet in a classic Old Hollywood look, accessorizing a strapless black peplum gown by Valentino—which featured a sweetheart neckline and bow tie belt—with a diamond choker necklace from Bulgari and diamond stud earrings.

The actress originally made history in 2020, when she became the youngest person (then 24) to take home an Emmy. For her virtual acceptance speech at the time, she dedicated her Euphoria win to the activists fighting for racial and social justice across America in the wake of the murder of George Floyd.
"I know this is a really weird time to be celebrating, but I do just want to say that there is hope in the young people. I know our TV show doesn't always seem like a great example of that, but there is hope in the young people," she said at the time. "I just want to say to all my peers out there doing the work in the streets, I see you, I admire you, I thank you and thank you so, so much."
