In exactly one week, I will be traipsing to Italy to attend what I like to call the fashion week of furniture—Salone del Mobile 2016. The largest trade fair of its kind in the world, it will host over 1,300 exhibitors showcasing stylish furniture, state-of-the-art fixtures and beautifully crafted objets d’art.

Inspired by the city of Tokyo as an architectural forest, Fujimoto reveals more about the relationship between nature and manmade objects, and the concept of the intangible aspect of light in the video above.
