J.Lo Just Shut Down the VMAs With An Epic Performance And We're Still Recovering

She just showed us all how it's done

J.Lo lit up the VMAs stage tonight. The music icon, who is this year's recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award, showed us how it's done with a set that featured the biggest hits from her longstanding career.

She started on a sultry note, serenading the crowd with "Waiting for Tonight," "On the Floor," and "Dance Again" while wearing a goddess-like Versace gown.

She also threw "Ain’t Your Mama," "Don't Cost a Thing," and "Get It Right" into the mix. Then she took a slight dance break to a remix of Drake's "Nice For What." She really went all in, wearing a glittery leotard, no less. Towards the end of the end of the set, Lopez took it back to her old school hits. She even brought out Ja Rule as a guest to the perform "I'm Real" and "Ain't It Funny" together.

Lopez, the first Latin artist to win the VMA Vanguard Award, followed-up her bombshell performance with a heartfelt acceptance speech, where she thanked her fans, family, and Alex Rodriguez.

"The universe is infinite, and so is what we can accomplish together, with love and trust and understanding," she said to her boyfriend. "There so much more to do and to experience, and there is nobody I would rather do it with, baby. You are my macho, and I love you."
