As one of Singapore’s most in demand radio DJs, 27-year-old Chew knows a thing or two about choosing the right words to express herself. It’s hardly surprising then, that her savviness also extends to how she utilises her closet choices to connect with those around her. “I want my style to feel relatable to my audience,” she offers. Fashion is widely considered a form of language, after all, and Chew has devised one that reflects the current state of mind she is in. Wrapped in a biker jacket for a dose of insouciance, she adds: “I think one’s style constantly evolves. I went through several transformations. The phase I’m in now is one where I feel most empowered. I’m in ‘boss’ mode.”
