The world lost a brilliant designer on Nov 28 (Sunday). Virgil Abloh, menswear artistic director for Louis Vuitton died of a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma.
Following the wish of the late Abloh and his wife Vanessa, Louis Vuitton will go ahead with the presentation of his Men’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection spin-off show in Miami to celebrate the life and legacy of his creative genius.
The French luxury house announced on Instagram that it is turning this last collection by Abloh into a tribute. Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, Michael Burke said in a press statement: “He was an eternal optimist who believed that anything was possible because he was an avid supporter of the community through philanthropy and passion. It was.”
