When you’re looking to creating an Hermès staple, what elements would you include? For Philippe Delhotal, creative director of La Montre Hermès, the answer was simple: Elegant design, timelessness and above all, a unique aesthetic. That’s why the brand’s new range of Slim D’Hermès watches are ticking all the right boxes.
Working with movement maker Vaucher to develop an ultra-thin automatic calibre, with mobile components measuring as little as 0.02mm apart. Peek through the sapphire crystal display back of the watch case and you’ll be fascinated by the precision and craftsmanship that went into assembling each timepiece. Also, instead of going back to basics, Delhotal hired Parisian graphic designer Phillipe Apeloig to design the typography for the watch face, resulting in an airy font that complements and enhances the classic qualities of the watch. Top it all off with their fabulous selection of watch straps made from elegant calf leather to ultra-luxe alligator, and this is one piece of horology that has totally captured our hearts.
